One Deer Down

I had a chance at 2 more, but I screwed it up. The first was a good sized doe, but she was running and I had never practiced with my rolling tire, so I didn't take the shot. The other was a good sized buck, but I kicked him up twice and could not find him in the scope.

Next time I walk in the woods, I'll have my scope on the lowest power setting, and I'll practice with the rolling tire to see where my lead needs to be.

I still have 2 days to hunt with this, and 3 days with the muzzle-loader... and of course I have bow season for quite a while.

I'm glad to see I can embed videos from YouTube again.

Load Developing with a Worn Bore

I have been having problems with this rifle and precision for a good long time now, and after a week or so of fiddling around with it, I found that the bore was worn to the point of needing to use bullets of a larger diameter than usual.

The rifling is still strong, it is that the bore was being worn evenly. Totally different than what people were saying happens. Makes me think that rifles that are widely known as "barrel burners" wear differently than these lower pressure and temperature firearms.

The Slippery Slope

The slippery slope is often times obvious.

That is not far from the truth.

This is not supposed to be happening under their leftist policies!
